HeeSun Lee's Back!

So, what’s been going on?

This week at JahRock’n Studios was an exciting week! Our artist, HeeSun Lee was back in the studio recording a bunch of songs for her new album. It was great having her back in the studio working on new material since she’s been on maternity leave.

We started working with a new Artist Developent client, and we’re very excited to work with him and see this talented artist grow. We’re keeping him a secret for now, but look out for his stuff in the near future ;)

Alot of you took advantage of our studio discount days this week! So, we just want to say thank you to those who came through to the studio and next week’s discount days will be Wednesday and Friday.

Lastly, soon, we’ll be executing our “Affiliates” Campaign where we’ve taken some of the best songs that we’ve produced and we release them all. Further details will be coming shortly so just keep your eye out for that!

Psychology and the Music Producer – an audio engineer often has to do it all
Here is a very good blog post by one of our studio partners, Disc Makers. check out this blog about the job an audio engineer. 
Is it common to have a person who is solely acting as a music producer on an independent music production?
In higher level projects, there is going to be a record producer, and the producer is going to talk to the artist and act as a liaison with the engineer. The audio engineer is going to do very little communication with the artist. But there’s not always a producer, even on some bigger projects. I’d say 40% of the sessions I’ve worked on in my 20-year career had producers in the room.

Notes and Qualifications:
-Experienced vocal coach/producer present in the studio session to coach artist/performer
-Tell vocal producer how you want it to sound, and he/she will guide the artist/performer based on he/she’s experience and unique skill in arranging vocals.
